Why will the 2nd ICGD be held fully online?

By going online, we can encourage participation from both local and international sectoral members even with the current restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Who is the organizer of ICGD?

ICGD is organized by the College of Public Affairs and Development (CPAf), a graduate college of the University of the Philippines Los Baños. 

Will there be an opportunity to raise questions after the presentations?

While the presentations are pre-recorded, there will be a live open forum towards the end of each session. 

Will I be given a copy of the presentations?

Yes. Copies of the presentation slides will be given to the participants.

How much is the registration fee for the conference?

The registration fee differs based on participant category. The different rates are as follows:

Will certificates be given to all participants?

Yes. The organizing committee will send out certificates of participation through email within a week after the online conference.  Participants will also be issued receipts.

How will I know if my registration is successful?

A notification email will be sent to you once you’re done with the registration.

How can I submit my abstract and do I need to follow a particular format?

For organized panel session proposals:

  • A 300-word description (maximum) of the panel session and its relevance to any of the sub-themes;

  • Maximum of four abstracts of the papers to be presented in the session. The abstracts should include three to four keywords;

  • Names, designation, affiliation, and contact e-mail of the session chair/organizers, speakers, and discussants.

For individual paper proposals:

  • Paper title and abstract fewer than 250 words with three to four keywords;

  • Sub-theme addressed by the paper; and

  • Name, designation, affiliation, and contact e-mail of authors.

Do I need a particular computer program during the online conference?

Yes. The sole platform that will be used by the organizing committee is Zoom.
